In late May, global plastic flexible packaging leader Amcor and forest industry pioneer Finlin Group forged a strategic partnership. The collaboration will combine their expertise in innovative packaging technologies to develop high-performance pulp-molded solutions for food applications, including cover films and liners. This initiative addresses urgent market demand for sustainable alternatives while advancing recyclable product development.

Finlin Group's pulp molding technology integrates Amcor's high-barrier film liners and cover films. This synergy significantly enhances functionality by enabling heat-sealing capabilities, effectively protecting perishable foods and extending shelf life. Amcor offers diverse fiber-based packaging through its global portfolio, already deployed in everyday categories including snacks and beverages.

Currently, Finlin Group is conducting pilot production at its Äänekoski demonstration facility. The site integrates advanced molding and post-processing technologies to streamline production, increase capacity, reduce costs, and accelerate commercialization of these sustainable packaging innovations.
