As the "Sugar City in Guangxi ", Laibin, Guangxi has built a complete sugar circular economic base in recent years, forming the production of more than 30 types of Sugar and its comprehensive utilization of five major circular economy industrial chains, ranging from sugar refining, pulp and paper integration, environmentally friendly molded fiber tableware, yeast and its extracts, to biological fertilizers.
The annual output value of sugar production and comprehensive utilization has exceeded the 10-billion-yuan benchmark, of which the proportion of comprehensive utilization output value has increased from 7% to about 40%, realizing a sugarcane " eaten up and squeezed out ".
Biomass energy is an internationally recognized zero-carbon renewable energy, including agricultural and forestry waste, wood and forest residues, etc., which can be widely used in life. Using renewable resources such as bagasse as raw materials to make degradable tableware is an important application scenario of biomass energy.
In bagasse’s comprehensive utilization industrial chain of "Sugarcane - Sugar – Sugarcane Bagasse – Bagasse Pulp – Eco-friendly Molded Fiber Tableware", all the bagasse is used for making pulp and producing degradable and environmentally friendly molded fiber tableware.
Taking Laibin Industrial Park as an example, the Food & Medicine Light industry Cluster focusing on the comprehensive utilization of sugar is one of the six characteristic industrial clusters built by the park. At present, the comprehensive utilization of sugar in the park has extended and developed the upstream and downstream industrial chain including sugar, yeast, caramel color, pulp, paper, environmental protection tableware and other diversified products.
"In recent years, the park has continued to make efforts to gather groups to create a new pattern of sugar refining and comprehensive utilization industry development on a large scale. Small and micro enterprise demonstration park." says an official in the local government, Till now, the park owns two leading pulp enterprises, and more than 3 molded fiber tableware making enterprises (among which, there is Minjie’s strategic partner: Firstpak), with an annual output of 125,000 tons of degradable and environmentally friendly food packaging.
