[News]Full-Chain Standard System for Pulp Molding Officially Launched: Empowering Equipment Enterprises to Break Through Technological Bottlenecks and Seize the High Ground of Green Manufacturing
Release time:
Dec 15,2025
Against the backdrop of the advancement of the "dual carbon" strategy and circular economy, pulp molding has emerged as a core sector in eco-friendly packaging. The 15th Five-Year Plan explicitly designates it as a key green and low-carbon industry, and a full-chain standard system will be implemented by 2026. This not only regulates industrial development, but also compels downstream product manufacturers to upgrade their equipment, thereby creating strategic opportunities for equipment manufacturing enterprises
Full-Chain Standard System for Pulp Molding Officially Launched: Empowering Equipment Enterprises to Break Through Technological Bottlenecks and Seize the High Ground of Green Manufacturing

Driven by the dual impetus of the deepened "dual carbon" strategy and improved circular economy system, the 15th Five-Year Plan identifies green low-carbon development, circular economy, and new material innovation as priorities in strategic emerging industries. As a core segment of biodegradable packaging, pulp molding is undergoing a paradigm shift in its development. According to the plan's arrangements, China will officially issue the Full Life Cycle Assessment Standard for Pulp Molding Products and General Technical Specifications for Biodegradable Pulp Molding by 2026, establishing a full-chain standardized management system covering raw material traceability, production control, product certification, and recycling & degradation, which provides institutional guarantee for the high-quality development of the industry.
This standard system features three core characteristics:
Full-chain closed-loop management and control: Extending across the entire process from raw material procurement to recycling and disposal, it clarifies key indicators such as the environmental attributes of fibers, recycled proportion, production energy consumption limits, pollutant emissions, and product degradability, which aligns with the concept of circular economy.
Scenario-specific differentiated specifications: It formulates refined parameters for sectors including food packaging, industrial buffering, and medical supplies. For instance, strict limits are imposed on heavy metal migration for food-contact products, while enhanced buffering capacity and temperature-humidity resistance are required for industrial packaging.
Quantitative evaluation system: It incorporates the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) mechanism, integrating quantitative indicators such as carbon footprint accounting and resource recycling rate into the evaluation system, driving enterprises to reduce environmental impact from the source.
For pulp molding equipment manufacturers, the implementation of these standards represents a strategic opportunity to drive technological innovation and market restructuring. In terms of energy conservation and environmental protection, waste heat recovery molding equipment based on thermodynamic principles, low-nitrogen combustion drying production lines, and material circulation closed-loop processing systems will become the core choices for downstream enterprises replacing extensive equipment. In the field of raw material adaptability, molding equipment compatible with non-wood fibers (e.g., bamboo pulp, bagasse) and high-proportion recycled pulp will form differentiated advantages by meeting the goals of comprehensive resource utilization. In terms of quality control, intelligent equipment integrated with online detection and adaptive process parameter adjustment will establish a leading position through precise control and quality traceability capabilities.
Conclusion
The implementation of the full-chain standard system is a key hallmark of the high-quality development of the pulp molding industry, and also opens up a new track for equipment enterprises to achieve technological upgrading. Energy efficiency optimization, raw material compatibility, and intelligent management and control have become the core directions. Enterprises must focus on the standard-oriented approach, increase R&D investment, develop innovative products to meet market demand, and seize the initiative in the industrial upgrading process.
