Intelligent Production: From "Labor Dependence" to "Unmanned Manufacturing", Restructuring the Entire Production Process of Pulp Molding

In February 2026, with the in-depth integration of Industry 4.0 technologies and the pulp molding industry, the industry is accelerating its departure from the bottleneck of labor-intensive production. It is restructuring the entire production process through intelligent transformation, realizing a leapfrog upgrade from "labor dependence" to "unmanned manufacturing", which has become the core path to solve the problems of large-scale and high-quality development.
Previously, all links of the traditional pulp molding production line relied on manual operation, resulting in low efficiency and uneven qualification rates, which made it difficult to meet the market's demand for personalization and fast delivery. Currently, fully automatic production lines have become the core configuration of leading enterprises and are penetrating into small and medium-sized enterprises. According to industry monitoring data in February 2026, the average efficiency of fully automatic production lines has reached 60-80 pieces per minute, an increase of 120% compared with 2020, unit energy consumption has decreased by 35%, and the overall equipment efficiency (OEE) has increased to 89.7%.
Leading enterprises have achieved remarkable results in leading the transformation. The environmental protection smart factory cooperated by Zhongchuang Intelligence and Siemens has realized the entire process of unmanned operation. It integrates ERP, MES systems with AI visual inspection, 5G Internet of Things and other technologies through a three-layer architecture, achieving full-chain automation from raw material warehousing to finished product outbound. Haisen Pulp Molding's Jinzhu Project, targeting the high-end bamboo pulp wine packaging scenario, matches the strict process requirements with fully automatic production lines, promoting the upgrading of industrial packaging.
The integration of AI and digital technologies has further improved the precision of management and control. The AI visual inspection system can identify 0.1mm-level defects in 0.8 seconds, reducing the defective product rate from 8% to 0.3%; digital twin technology realizes visual optimization of the production line, shortening the mold change time from 2 hours to 15 minutes. At the same time, the implementation of black-light factories is accelerating, providing replicable intelligent solutions for the industry and helping enterprises enhance their international competitiveness.
Insiders pointed out that intelligent transformation has become a necessary course for the survival and development of pulp molding enterprises. It is expected that the procurement ratio of intelligent production lines in the industry will exceed 38% in 2026, driving the industry to get rid of the dependence on low-end production capacity and transform towards efficient, low-carbon and high-end intelligent manufacturing.
